About
Skid Wheels: Pak RV Skid
Wheels are mounted on the rear of the RV. They are necessary
on vehicles which tend to drag while on an incline. Usage of
skid wheels helps prevent damage to equipment that would otherwise
scrape while dragging. They are positioned so that they make
contact first, and are very strong so that they can handle both
impact and weight. There are two main types of skid wheels: frame mount and hitch
bar mount. Frame mounted types are designed to mount
underneath the RV, in a spot on it's frame where they will be
low enough to make contact first, but not too low- so as to drag
unneccesarily. Hitch bar mount skid wheels are to be installed
directly on the hitch bar of a motorhome.

| Three sizes of this extra heavy duty model are
available. Each are plate-mount, and include super strong metal
wheels with roller bearings, grease fittings, and 1/4" of
tough urethane on the outer edge. Steel mounting plates and hardware
are included. The four inch model includes cold forged regular
duty steel swivel casters and 4"x 2" wheels. The five
inch model contains large cold forged steel swivel casters and
5"x 2" wheels. The six inch model includes massive
drop forged steel swivel casters and 6"x 2" wheels.

These
wheels can be used as extra heavy duty replacements for Pak and
any other manufacturer's casters of the same size, as well as
exact replacements for our extra heavy duty line (shown above).
The wheels are metal with roller bearings, grease fittings, and
1/4" of tough urethane on the outer edge. All three sizes
are designed for a 1/2" diameter axle bolt (not included).
Wheels are sold one per display box. One year warranty. |

BAR MOUNT SKID WHEELS...
The following products are
designed to mount directly to the hitch bar of a motorhome, and
help prevent damage to the undercarriage and to the hitch. Each
are very easy to install, no drilling or welding is required.

a swivel model and is designed to fit 2-1/2" hitch bars.
The metal wheels are 4"x 2" with roller bearings, grease
fittings, and 1/4" of tough urethane on the outer edge.

SOLID STEEL HITCH PROTECTOR
SKID WHEEL...

This item
protects the receiver and hitch post from road damage. It can
be used with or without trailer. Receiver and hitch pin are NOT
included. Contains an extra heavy duty, 2-1/2"x 1-1/2"
solid billet steel wheel. For older models which had plastic
wheels, there is a replacement wheel/ upgrade kit available containing
the steel wheel, heavy duty axle bolt, washers and lock nut.
